setup.sh - changed for removing error, log, out, backup files - probably causing not loading TDAQ

Where the data is written? How to see how many errors were obtained?

- see number of sent data and errors - in data varify panel

Modules to test:

We have 20ALUGERM00183 - right now in the test - start 20.09.2013 16-30 for one week. Has to be working without errors.

Frequency of the setup ~480Hz events

In one week 200-300Mevents are expected.

How to start TDAQ at rod4

cd ./tdaq

sourche setup.sh --> will setup links and will start TDAQ not always from the first try.

to stop TDAQ --> go to File --> Exit

In addition run ./killTDAQproc to kill all processes.

Inside TDAQ --> Boot --> Initialize --> Config --> Start and backwards.

We changed number of the slot --> in /home/rod4/GENEVA/GenevaDAQ/v8r0/database/lar/slink/lar/hw

Larg.rods.data.xml - rod_05 the one which is enabled.

to see LargPanel.Master.Pamnel with temperature measurements - for examle go to top left corner and open >Load Panels

In case the PC rod4 has to be restarted after it is restarted there is a need to restart PC in the VME crate or by restarting VME crate or by pressin the button under the network cable.

How to characterize ROD

Notes about how the test bench: how is it organized
In the VME crate (CrateVME) there are RODInj - ROD injector board, ROD board and ??? board. Over VME crate there is a Optical splitter, which splits signal from 4 optical cables to 8 optical cables.

Labling of cables:

Injecting signal cables Inj1,2,3,4 each channel from Injector was plugged to the same number of channel for splitting.

Splitted signal cables Spl1, Spl2, Spl3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

The channels 1 to 8 are plugged with different order to the ROD board:

Channel correspondence ROD Board:
Channel Splitter Channel ROD Comments
1 1 -
2 7 -
3 2 -
4 8 -
5 3 -
6 6 -
7 5 -
8 4 -

If better idea appears I will re-label the cables.

Lemo cables are ???

  • Picture of the VME crate with ROD boards is shown below:

The tested ROD and corresponding TM are located in channel 13 of VME crate.
