SS60
PR.SS60 Layout database
On the blue table, horizontal dipole PR.DHZ60.
At the right a pneumatic vacuum sector valve.
Sextupole PR.XNO60 added in Straight Section 60, as described in PS-MXNBA-EC-0001

SS61
PR.SS61 Layout database
At the left, on the slender blue pedestal, PR.QLD29, a quadrupole
doublet magnet.
The bright red device at the right is ejection septum magnet SMH61,
part of the slow extraction system for the East Hall.
In the background, visible between the doublet and the septum,
bumper magnet 61.

SS62
PR.SS62 Layout database
An empty straight section.

|
SS63
PR.SS63 Layout database
At the left, a pick-up belonging to the orbit measurement
system (CODD). The white block in the background is a bending dipole magnet
steering protons toward the East Hall.

SS64
PR.SS64 Layout database
The box on the blue table
is a wire scanner. This instrument measures the vertical
beam profile.
|
|
SS65
PR.SS65 Layout database
On the white pedestal, a wire scanner.
This device serves to
determine the beam profile by rapidly moving a fine wire through the beam
while measuring the resultant scattering of particles. The scattered
particles are detected by a scintillator attached to a photo-multiplier,
neither of which are visible here.

SS66
PR.SS66 Layout database
An accelerating radio frequency cavity, part of the 10MHz system.
The red top contains the tunable ferrite-loaded cavity, and the
blue bottom holds the power amplifier.
|
|
SS67
PR.SS67 Layout database
At the left, between the pole pieces of the bending magnet, one
of the pick-ups of the orbit measurement system (CODD).
The pale white device is a dipole magnet.
The rods running
parallel to the vacuum chamber
serve to compensate a mains induced disturbance of the beam.

|
SS68
PR.SS68 Layout database
At the left, between the pole pieces of the bending magnet, a phase
pick-up serving the beam control system. To its right, a beam position
pick-up. On the blue table, a wire scanner.
|
|
SS69
PR.SS69 Layout database
The magnet on the blue table is a quadrupole doublet.
